Wallbarn Timber Decking (“TD”) Minipad 28-40mm Adjustable TD Pedestal

Description

The Wallbarn TD Minipad is a special smaller height pedestal suitable for suspended timber decking systems. They have been developed for customers who require a solution to areas where restricted and very low height thresholds exist but where minor alterations of height are still required to achieve a completely flat and seamless finish. They support timber joists for top surface support deck boards, on balconies, terraces and podium decks.

The 20-30mm and 28-37mm TD Minipads have been designed for use when working with very tight spaces. Adjustment can be made whilst the timber joists are in situ, saving a lot of time and effort during construction.

The headpieces and baseplates are both 150mm in diameter. The stems are telescopic, so users can turn the pedestal until it “bites” to the correct height. This is a suspended system – the timber joist framework which is fitted onto the pedestals slab holds everything in place. Changes to height can be made whilst the timber joists are in place. This saves a great deal of time and labour.

Even flat roofs are built to a small fall to allow adequate drainage. TD Minipads help to achieve a completely flat upper surface. The rainwater runs between and under the slabs, so there is no standing water left on the surface. They create a cavity between the sub-deck and the decking which helps ventilate the structure and allows services such as pipes and cables to be hidden from view.

Wallbarn recommends that TD Minipads should be positioned a maximum of 600mm apart.

TD Minipads are manufactured from virgin fibre polypropylene. They will not become brittle in low temperatures.

Slope correctors, levelling shims and accessories are available for use with TD Minipads.
